Deer Lake Resident Camp

Sites & Facilities

windsurfing

Deer Lake is a spectacular high adventure mountain camp situated between two beautiful lakes approximately 3.5 hours from San Francisco in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

The camp features a variety of accommodations from unit shelters, to family size dome tents, an open air Dining Hall, commercial kitchen, an arts and crafts center, archery range, high ropes course and climbing wall, and access to Tahoe National Forest.

This property is not available for rental.

Living Units

Deer Lake features six living units. Three of these consist of unit shelters which contain 12 beds and a wood burning stove. One unit is platform tents where girls sleep on mattresses, one unit is tipis and the final unit uses family size dome tents. All units have a campfire circle, picnic tables, running water and access to bathroom facilities.

Main Camp

In the center of camp is our namesake, Deer Lake. The majority of waterfront activities happen here as well as a special piece of our closing campfires. Included in this general vicinity are the camp office, the main campfire area, the arts and crafts center, and a boathouse and water tower that were part of the original property.
