Community Camps are day and resident camps held at community locations throughout Northern California. These fun, enriching, local camps allow girls to extend their Girl Scout experience into the summer months and often offer leadership opportunities for older girls.

Camp Butano Creek
Pescadero, CA in San Mateo County
At Butano Creek, campers can explore ocean beaches, adventure into the wonders of a redwood forest, gaze at the night skies, create arts and crafts projects, eat great food and play in the magical places found amongst the majestic redwood trees. Our program is geared toward promoting self-esteem in an outdoor setting, including hiking, cookouts, campfires, games, singing, science and nature. With the beautiful Pacific coastline just minutes away, we are able to offer marine activities including horseback riding on the beach, surfing lessons, kayaking, tide pooling, and backpacking through the coastal mountains.

Camp Tall Trees
Wolf Creek Education Center, Redwood National Park, CA in Humbolt County
Camp Tall Trees is a residential camp especially for girls and is organized by Girl Scouts of Northern California. Camp Tall Trees is open to girl scouts and non girl scouts alike. We aim to make it possible for any girl to attend irrespective of her families ability to pay. GSNC is may able to grant camperships to those girls who would otherwise be unable to attend.
NEW this year -TRINITY ADVENTURE CAMP 2012 is a true outdoor adventure for Seniors & Ambassadors. You will rappel 50’ down in to the Trinity River Canyon, take a class III whitewater rafting trip, learn the rock climbing skills to ascend the Trinity pinnacles and then explore the underworld in a wild cave.Learn survival skills and spend a primitive night out using them.You also have the option to take a sunset kayak trip across Humboldt Bay, climb 100’ up a Redwood Tree and zip through the Redwood Canopy. www.redwoodgirlsscouts.org/Trinity or email: trinity@redwoodgirlscouts.org

Kamp Konocti
Navarro, CA in Mendocino County
Kamp Konocti is a volunteer run resident camp nestled among the Redwoods of Mendocino County. Girls will enjoy traditional camp activities while working on age level badges. Older girls will have the opportunity to travel out of camp to explore the neighboring communities while working on their badges.

Diablo Day Camp is operated by the volunteer efforts of 10 local Girl Scout Service Units and offers week-long sessions with varying themes throughout the summer. Each session offers a variety of activities such as archery, swimming, nature, crafts and hiking. At the Camp Twin Canyon site only, campers also cook their own lunch which makes program at this site unique in the area. All camp staff are volunteers and all interested adults are welcome -- no experience necessary, training is provided.

Camp Arequipa, Fairfax
Camp Arequipa has been run for 51 years and offers a community day camp program coordinated by three service units in Marin County. Campers are offered a rich program in a beautiful outdoor setting. Archery, leathercraft, swimming and more are a regular part of our program. Girls entering grade 5 and older are offered a one-night overnight, under-the-stars, camp out. We offer 3 one-week sessions, and usually have a waitlist after our March lottery. This is an adult volunteer-led camp which also utilizes older girls in a leadership role in units and workshops.

Fun and exciting day camp experience for girls in 1st grade through 7th grade, with an emphasis on building community, learning new skills, and participating in traditional Girl Scout activities. Girls will spend the week in fun opportunities such as Archery, Outdoor Cooking, Nature and Science activities, Girl Scout Skills, Arts & Crafts, Singing, and MORE!
