Our camps offer unique life experiences designed to help girls discover and develop themselves. Within a safe and supportive environment, girls participate in activities that develop skills, build self-esteem, and provide a sense of accomplishment. The programs are well-rounded and are appropriate to the age, interests, and abilities of the campers. What makes our camps so special is the connection experienced with new friends, the support of a trained staff, and outdoor experiences that provide progression, challenge, and FUN, all in a place just for girls!
Whether a girl is a first-time or experienced camper, Girl Scouts of Northern California has a summer camp program that’s right for her.
American Camp Association Accreditation
We are proud to offer camps accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Council-run Camps: Bothin, Camp Metro, Deer Lake, Skylark Ranch, and Sugar Pine, and volunteer-run camp: Two Sentinels.
As a leading authority in youth development, ACA works to preserve, promote, and improve the camp experience. Our association is committed to helping our members and all camps succeed, all hold a current accreditation. To receive this accreditation, these camps with Girl Scouts of Northern California agree to operate by meeting or exceeding more than 300 industry standards for summer camps. Camping professionals around the country have established these standards based on long standing best practices. As ACA accredited camps, we also undergo a thorough, on-site review of operations, health and safety practices, hiring procedures, and program design.
*Deer Lake will not be operating in the 2015 camp season.
