Why Join Girl Scouts?

New Girl Members

At Girl Scouts, girls are always counting down to the next adventure they'll go on together. With us, you'll make a bunch of new friends and have a ton of new experiences that show you how exciting the world is, and how awesome you are, over and over again.

New Adult Members

As a volunteer, you'll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they're capable of more than they ever imagined. Whether you can give a day, a few weeks, or the whole year, it all starts with you. 85% of our volunteers agree that they are making a meaningful difference in girls' lives!

How Do I Join a Troop?

Girl Scouts is a 99% volunteer-led organization. As all troops are managed by adult volunteers (parents just like you!) troop availability will vary and is dependent upon multiple local factors. As troop placement cannot be guaranteed we encourage you to consider starting a new troop. As one of the founding members of a new troop your daughter is not only guaranteed participation but you also have the added benefit of providing the opportunity of Girl Scouts to more girls in your local community. Fill out the interest form to connect with Girl Scouts about opportunities in your community.

Starting a New Troop

As a volunteer, you'll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they're capable of more than they ever imagined. You'll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop skills and confidence that will last long after the meeting is over. Imagine the smiles, the excitement, the memories made -- those are the moments you'll share at Girl Scouts.

There are many ways to help out with Girl Scouting in starting a new troop.

Be the role model she'll always remember.
