Two girl members (ages 14 and older) to serve a one year term (January 28, 2012 – January 28, 2013) as Regional Delegates.
Six Regional Delegates, one of whom must be an adult member age 18 or older and the remaining five Regional Delegates may be girl (age 14 or older) or adult members. These candidates will all run for a two-year term (January 28, 2012-January 28, 2014). The names of the six elected Regional Delegates will be placed in a random drawing and the three names drawn will serve a two year (full) term, and the remaining three will serve a one year (partial) term. The drawing will be conducted by a group of three people (one volunteer, one Board Member, and one staff member).
Remaining nominees may be elected to serve as alternate delegates.

Regional Delegates govern our council. Together with the members of the Board and members of the Council’s Board Development Committee, and the delegates to the National Council (national delegates), regional delegates are the “voting members” of our council. Voting members attend the Annual Meeting for Girl Scouts of Northern California where they elect the Board of Directors, Board Development Committee, and the national delegates and alternates to the National Council of GSUSA, and they vote on any amendments to our bylaws (the rules that govern our council).
