Camp Skylark spans 280 acres in the Santa Cruz Mountains above the beautiful California coast. Sleeping accommodations vary from tent cabins to primitive hike-in outposts for pitching tents with access to toilets, potable water and fire circle.
Other features available are a high and low ropes course, an indoor dining hall with commercial kitchen, large modern shower/bathroom facility, central group fire circle, meadow, archery range, extensive hiking trails through diverse ecological habitats with access to Big Basin State Park. Skylark offers a peaceful outdoor retreat with basic comforts.
Driving Time from San Francisco:
Skylark Ranch is about 90 minutes south from San Francisco, 15 minutes south of Pescadero, near Pigeon Point Lighthouse.
Facilities Overview:
Total Camp Capacity: 200 people/night
Dining Hall: Fully functional commercial kitchen and dining hall that has a capacity of 200 (California food handler’s certification required).
Tent Cabin Villages/Units: Each village/unit has canvas platform tents (4 beds/tent) for overnight use. An outdoor cooking area is provided and includes a campfire circle, picnic tables and food storage. Each unit has its own water and toilets. Capacity numbers include:
- Flicker = 38 people
- Chickadee = 28 people
- Starling = 32 people
- Meadowlark = 28 people
- Cardinal = 28 people
- Pajarita = 28 people
Outposts: Each outpost has a camping area, toilets, potable water and fire circle. Optimal use of these outposts is to pitch backpack tents. Outposts require a short hike from 1/2 mile to approximately one mile. Capacity numbers include:
- Outpost = 18 people
- Toby’s Meadow = 18 people (includes lean-to shelter for sleeping or cooking with a gas stove)

Local Attractions Sampler:
- Año Nuevo State Park is the site of the largest mainland breeding colony in the world for the northern elephant seals.
- Big Basin State Park has the largest continuous stand of ancient coast redwoods south of San Francisco, the park consists of hiking trails through old growth and recovering redwood forest, with mixed conifer, oaks, chaparral, and riparian habitats.

To qualify for the Girl Scout rate, at least 60% of a group must be Girl Scout members registered with GSNorCal.
