Camp Twin Canyon, 35 acres of oak canyons and grasslands, is nestled among the East Bay hills with direct access to hiking trails in Briones Regional Park, where panoramic views of Mt. Diablo and the San Francisco Bay can be seen.
Local wildlife include fox, coyote, deer, many species of birds, bobcat and rabbits can be seen if you are lucky. Whether it is an event, outdoor retreat, troop camping, training courses or cookouts, Twin Canyon offers a base camp for on-site programs or offsite adventure.
Group campsites, flush toilets and a group cooking shelter provide the necessities for a large group camping experience and appropriate for all levels of campers. There is one sleeping cabin and meeting room available as well. Twin Canyon offers a great connection to the outdoors.

Lafayette is a half hour drive from Oakland and a 1 hour drive from San Francisco.
Facilities Overview
Total Camp Capacity: 150 people/night
Sleeping Shelter Cabin: Overnight indoor sleeping for up to 22. There are electrical lights inside the cabin, electrical outlets, cooking stove, microwave and refrigerator. Mattresses are provided. Wood burning stove for heat. Detached bathrooms.
Cooking Shelter: A covered cooking shelter with electrical lights, potable water, picnic tables, and a large barbecue is located next to the sleeping shelter. Use of the cooking shelter is included in rental of the sleeping cabin.
Meeting Room: The Hive is available for use as a meeting room or indoor activities. Day Use only.
Outdoor Campsite Units: 5 units available: Ant, Bay, Beetle, Buckeye, Cricket. Each unit has potable water, picnic tables and a barbecue/campfire circle. Unit capacity is 25. No electricity. Bring your own tents and sleeping gear.
Picnic Units: 3 units available: Maple, Oak, Toyon. Same as outdoor units. Day use.
Central Toilets: Flush toilets and sinks (no showers or hot water) are located in each canyon.
Central Campfire Circle and Assembly Area: Shared by all groups on the site.
Local Attractions Sampler
- Mount Diablo State Park is a 45-minute drive and offers opportunities for extensive hiking and rock climbing.
- Briones Regional Park borders Twin Canyon and offers miles of hiking trails. One of the trailheads is a five-minute walk from Twin Canyon. Several loop hike options exists for various fitness levels.
- Lindsay Wildlife Museum is a unique natural history and environmental education center where live, wild animals are living in captivity due to injuries. Visitors can view animals close up, hear the call of a red tailed hawk, see eye-to-eye with a gray fox or watch a bald eagle eat lunch. More than 50 species of live, non-releasable, native California animals are on exhibit.

Night=5 p.m.-9:30 a.m.
Night & Day Combo= 5p.m.-4p.m.
To qualify for the Girl Scout rate, at least 60% of a group must be Girl Scout members registered with GSNorCal.
