Girl Scouts of Northern California is kicking off a new girl program; Girl Scouts Speak Out Program gives Girl Scouts a chance to get their voice heard and speak out on what it means to be a Girl Scout. Girl Scouts Speak Out will air on Girl Scouts of Northern California’s web site, and youTube channel!
Girls Speak Out About the Upcoming Election
Girl Scouts is calling girl members to videotape a short segment, answering one or more of the following questions:
- In your own words, what does this country stand for?
- If you could tell the future president of the U.S.A. one thing, what would you tell him or her?
- What have you done to make sure your voice is heard in the election?
- Why is it important to speak out?
- How has being a Girl Scout provided you with an opportunity to have a voice?

To Participate:
Step 1: Review and sign the “Internet Safety Pledge” in Safety-Wise or on our web site: www.GirlScoutsNorCal.org/safetypledge.
Step 2: Get a signed photo release from every person who will be identifiable in your video (send copies with your final video). Photo releases for minors must be signed by a parent or guardian. There is one copy of the photo release included in the participation packet.
Step 3: Get creative! Make your video and send it in. Small files (10 MB or less) can be e-mailed to aharrington@girlscoutsnorcal.org. Larger videos can be submitted on DVD and mailed with photo releases and the submission form below to: Girl Scouts Speak Out, ATTN: Angela Harrington, 7700 Edgewater Drive, Suite 340, Oakland, CA 94621. Please note: all video files submitted via mail must be smaller than 100 MB.
