Core Leadership Series

There must be at least one adult in attendance at every troop/group meeting or outing who has completed all four of the Core Leadership courses (GSUSA Orientation, Getting Started, Staying Safe, and Leadership Essentials). GSUSA Orientation, Getting Started and Staying Safe must be taken prior to meeting with girls, and the fourth course, Leadership Essentials, must be taken within four months of appointment as a Girl Scout volunteer. We recommend that as many adults as possible take all core leadership series courses, as this will really enhance the effectiveness of the group.
