Cadette Troop 70536 McKinleyville Library Display

Girl Scouts from McKinleyville Cadette Troop 70536 created a display in the lobby of the McKinleyville Library to celebrate the history of Girl Scouting in honor of the 97th Anniversary of the youth organization. March is Girl Scout month because the first troop meeting in the United States was held on March 12, 1912 in Savannah, Georgia. The display features uniforms from the past to the present, examples of books, records, dolls and other memorabilia. The display can be viewed during library open hours through March 31st. The Cadettes also brought a donation of books for the Friends of the Library. Pictured from left to right: Kassity McGaughey, Stephanie Kingham (in back), Maria Sonato, Michaela Hammond, and Megan Wilson.
