Girls Go Tech
"Girls Go Tech" is a program initiative to empower girls through increased confidence in math, science, technology and engineering.
Today, over 60 percent of all jobs require technology skills. That percentage will increase over a girl's lifetime. She will have decisions to make based upon her understanding of math, science and technology - decisions that we are just beginning to face.
Research tells us girls are not being encouraged as well as they could be in the areas of math, science and technology - from a lack of computer games with girl-appeal to a dearth of opportunities in technology classrooms dominated by boys.
What Are Girl Scouts Doing?
In Girl Scouts, we want all girls to know they can succeed in these fields and that their participation is vital in strengthening our economy. With that in mind, we are providing an array of activities to foster girls' interests in engineering, science, math and technology.

Healthy Girls Healthy Lives
Today's American children are more overweight and less physically active than in previous generations. Life style habits, especially eating and exercising behaviors, are established during childhood and are difficult to change in adulthood.
Since its founding, Girl Scouting has provided a means for girls to gain the self-confidence, the skills, and the drive to participate in sports and fitness activities. As the preeminent organization for girls, Girl Scouts is committed to helping girls grow strong in mind, spirit and body. Knowledge and healthy habits gained through Girl Scout programs can help girls make responsible decisions about their bodies that will benefit them for a lifetime.

Studio 2B
With its unique "by girls, for girls" approach, STUDIO 2B is an innovative program option 11-17. It is a new way for girls to connect with each other and get advice from teen-savvy adult mentors. Girls plan their own activities and have the chance to do the things they really want to do.
They share their thoughts on issues, create meaningful experiences, and hang out in a place that is designed to let them be who they are and encourages them to become who they want to be.

Girl Scouts Save the Bay
Girls Scouts Save the Bay (GSSTB) is the Girl Scouts of San Francisco Bay Area's "bold audacious project" - girls, their families, neighbors and adult leaders working to protect and restore the San Francisco Bay. Developed by girls, GSSTB leads the Girl Scouting movement supporting girls in learning about critical issues that affect their home, their families and the future - and how they can make a difference now and over their lifetime.
